An organisation for stickmakers and collectors, organised by stickmakers and collectors and founded in 1984.
The British Stick Makers Guild website offers membership to those interested, lists of events, competitions, a fantastic gallery showcasing incredible walking sticks and links to stick makers around the country. Membership includes “The Stickmaker” magazine delivered to your door quarterly.
On the The British Stick Makers Guild website, you will find listings of all of the year's events. It is VERY different this year (2020) because of the Coronavirus pandemic, but usually you can look up each month and find various country shows to visit near you or further afield.
You can either visit or enter a walking stick you have made to the competition (sometimes in advance and sometimes on the day). Here is an example of a listing under the events tab:

The British Stick Makers Guild competitions are organised into "classes" of which you need to choose one to enter the walking stick you have made.
