Q. How long will it take for my walking stick to arrive?
A. You can choose from standard (2-5 days) or express next working day delivery at the checkout.
Q. How much will delivery cost?
A. Standard UK delivery is typically £11 for standard length sticks and £4.50 for folding sticks. All other options (next day or Saturday delivery is charged). Delivery is calculated by weight of the goods, postage method and packing costs. This is displayed at the shopping basket page.
Q. How do I return an item for a refund or an exchange?
A. Yes you can. Please see our returns page for details of where to send your walking stick back to and our exchange and refund policy.
Q. Can I pay for my walking stick by cheque?

Q. Why do I need to give my telephone number and email address?
A. www.walkingsticksonline.co.uk is an internet based store. Everything that we do is based online for efficiency and savings that we can pass on to our customers. We need to be able to contact you by email or phone if there is something wrong with the order, i.e the postcode is wrong. You will also be automatically sent a confirmation email with your unique order reference number that you will need to quote in all correspondance with us.
Q. How long are your walking sticks?
A. Most of our walking sticks are a standard 36 inches or 91cm long unless otherwise stated as adjustable, extra short or extra long.
Q. What is the maximum weight limit?
A. Most of our walking sticks have been tested to 15 stone. The seat sticks are slightly more and their weight limits are displayed on each of the product pages.
Q. Can the sticks be cut down to the ideal height?
A. All wooden walking sticks can be adjusted with a household saw. A rubber ferrule can then be easily pushed on to the tip, or a steel ferrule glued on to the tip. We can do this for you if you like.
Q. Can I have my stick engraved?
A. Yes. All of our walking sticks with wooden shafts can have an engraved badge attached to them.

WHY DO HIKERS USE WALKING STICKS
Walkers and hikers sometimes use walking sticks. Why?

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF A WALKING STICK?
The average length of a walking stick is 90cm, but it depends what kind of stick.
- Thumbsticks, wading sticks, hiking sticks and shepherd's crooks are typically tall (125cn and above)
- Everyday wooden walking sticks are 89 to 91cm but, being wooden, they can be shortened to the height that suits you best.
- Aluminium sticks are all height adjustable so you can set your own height.
- Extra tall walking sticks are wooden sticks that are made taller (between 95 and 110cm).
ARE WALKING STICKS ALLOWED ON AEROPLANES?
Are they weapons or walking aids?
- Walking sticks are classified as mobility aids and should not be banned from being taken into the cabin.
- Sticks, like hiking sticks, with a metal tip may have to be telescoped down and put into your suitcase instead.
- Check with the flight company first as they often change the rules!
